Amit Shah will lead the party in the Lok Sabha election in 2019 as the party's organisational polls are likely to be suspended till then as it focuses on the electoral challenge ahead. A party leader said organisational polls in an election year have often been deferred in the past as well to allow the incumbent president, his team of office-bearers and workers to focus fully on polls.

4.BJP leaders at national executive meeting held at the Ambedkar International Centre in New Delhi
The two-day national executive meeting is being attended by its key leaders from all states and Union territories besides its national leadership. Prime Minister Narendra Modi, Union Ministers Rajnath Singh, Arun Jaitley, Sushma Swaraj, Nitin Gadkari and Suresh Prabhu were among the attendees when Shah spoke. Senior BJP leader Lal Krishna Advani also attended the meeting at the Ambedkar International Centre in New Delhi.
