As per UIDAI, address change can be done by sending an address validation letter online with the help of an address verifier.
If you have recently moved into a new house you must be wondering how to change your Aadhar card details as Aadhar has become an integral part of our lives and is needed for identification in almost everything. People wanted to change their address can do so by login into the officials website of UIDAI uidai.gov.in and clicking on ‘Update your Aadhar’ under the ‘My Aadhar’ menu.
Click on ‘Update Demographics Data Online’ and on following the procedures you will be directed to a page which will have two options ‘Update Address via Address Proof’ and ‘Update Address via Secret Code’. First option is applicable if you have valid documents for address proof while the second option is available if you don’t have valid documents.
As per UIDAI, this can be done by sending an address validation letter online with the help of an address verifier. The address can only be updated if you meet certain conditions. These are:
-Mobile number of both Resident and Address Verifier should be linked to their respective Aadhaar.
-Address Verifier must be approved for use in address base
Let’s go through the steps on how to update you Aadhar without having any documents:
1. Step 1

Click on ‘Update Address via Secret Code’ and enter the Aadhar of the verifier. You will get an SRN- Service Request Number.
2. Step 2

The verifier will be required to click on the link he will receive and log in with his/her Aadhar and provide his/her permission.
3. Step 3

After this, a second SMS will be received with OTP, fill it and insert captcha and verify. When it is verified, you will get the Service Request Number (SRN) through SMS.
4. Step 4

After reaching a confirmation for the permission given by the verifier, you need to log in with the given SRN, review the address, edit it and submit a request.
5. Step 5

You get the Address Validation Letter with the Secret Code through the post. Log into the SSUP Portal and update your Address via the Secret Code. Review the new address and submit your final request. You will receive a URN for checking the status later.
