'A lot of progress has been made': Trump on India-Pak situation, says 'will be meeting PM Modi'

US President Donald Trump ahead of the forthcoming 74th United Nations General Assembly (UNGA) session has said that a lot of progress has been made between India and Pakistan and that he will be meeting PM Modi during his upcoming visit.
Speaking to reporters, Donald Trump said, "I'll see Prime Minister Modi and we'll be meeting with India and Pakistan, and I think a lot of progress has been made there. A lot of progress."
Donald Trump will be attending PM Modi's mega diaspora event, 'Howdy, Modi' scheduled in Houston, Texas on September 22. The event is expected to witness a participation of more than 50,000 people, mostly Indian Americans.
Earlier on Monday, White House confirmed Trump's participation at 'Howdy, Modi' event and issued a statement saying, “In Houston, President Trump will participate in an event with Prime Minister Narendra Modi of India. The event, 'Howdy, Modi! Shared Dreams, Bright Futures' is expected to draw tens of thousands of people."
