In an exclusive interview with Zee News, Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan shared his mantra in the ongoing elections, the ‘confused’ Congress party, and the road ahead for the 2019 Lok Sabha elections.
The Congress had ruined this state when I assumed power for the first time. There were potholes in the name of roads, darkness in the name of electricity. We developed the state and the work the BJP has done has been historic. We are contesting the elections in the name of development.
The Congress has been out of power for 15 years. The people aren’t angry with our government. Rather, the Congress is the one that is angry because they can’t digest that a farmer is in power.
There are people who are opposed to the idea of patriotism. These individuals can stoop to any level to acquire power. At the end of the day, we are volunteers who are dedicated to our nation and its society.
Lord Ram is not a topic for an election. He is a subject of faith and reverence. Ram lives in our hearts and everyone wants the temple to be built. With the consent of all, and with the court verdict, the temple will be built one day.
I do not know how he ran the state for two terms. He make a lot of statements, but I do not give much importance to them. His own party (the Congress) ignores whatever he say..
The Gandhi family has been surrounded by corruption, and the nation has seen this. They know this, and are trying to accuse the BJP to take the attention of them.
When I threatened him of legal action (in the Vyapam case), he claimed that he was confused. He wants to rule the country; how can he be confused? If he is confused about his statement, how will he run a country?
BJP will win hands down in 2019. PM Modi has the reverence of the people, and will continue serving India as its prime minister.
BJP will win a great victory in these elections. Modi ji has the reverence and faith of the people of the country. That is why the coalition was formed or the Maha coalition in 2019 has written on the walls that Modi will be the only Prime Minister of the country.
The leadership of the Congress is with the King, the Maharaja and the industrialists, who come from Delhi, stay for a day, and then retrun in the evening. They have no connection with the people and their problems. These are just restless for power.
