A: It was the party’s decision to reach out to the JD(S) in the wake of the fractured mandate in Karnataka. Both the parties had submitted signed letters of legislators to the Governor Vajubhai Vala to stake claim to form the government. However, the Governor invited BJP.
A: The entire country and those who believe in democracy rule of law and the Constitution should condemn the action of the Central government and Governor. The Congress and JD(S) are together and protested against the unconstitutional and undemocratic decision of the Governor which was also against the Supreme Court judgement delivered 14 months ago. We will go to the people telling them how BJP is going against the Constitution.

A: They are together. The strength of both Congress, JD(S) along with Independent is 117 while the BJP is only 104. It is quite clear that BJP is short of numbers. The coalition can provide a stable government in Karnataka.
