Independence Day 2023 highlights: PM Modi's shows pride in India's economy, controlled inflation; new scheme launched
The Independence Day 2023 celebrations across the country have commenced, and PM Modi has started his address to the nation.
The Independence Day 2023 festivities and celebrations have already begun across the country, and Prime Minister Narendra Modi has started his address to the citizens of India from Red Fort. PM Modi's speech is commenced at 7:30 am today.
After arriving at the Red Fort, PM Modi unfurled the national tricolour and then started addressing the nation from Red Fort, as is the tradition every Independence Day. It must be noted that this is the last I-Day address by PM Modi before the Lok Sabha elections in 2024.
To make this year's Independence Day 2023 celebrations even more special, 1800 'special guests' have been invited to Red Fort to witness PM Modi's speech. These guests are from different walks of life and have been invited as part of the 'Jan Bhagidari' idea of the Modi government.
Delhi Police have made elaborate security arrangements in the national capital for the 77th Independence Day celebrations. Over 40,000 security personnel, anti-drone radars, anti-aircraft guns, facial recognition closed circuit TV cameras, and sealed borders are among the security `bandobast` put in place in Delhi.
