As the number of reported instances of Covid-19 rises worldwide, Indian governments have responded by taking measures to contain the Covid epidemic. Beginning on December 24, the government has stated that a random sample for Covid-19 of passengers on foreign flights will be subject to a coronavirus test.
The Union health ministry contacted the Union civil aviation ministry about the rise of coronavirus infections in various countries. "A subsection of 2 per cent of the total passengers in the flight shall undergo random post-arrival testing at the airport on arrival," said the official statement.
As a result of an increase in Covid cases in numerous countries, including China, India will continue its random screenings of 2% of all foreign arrivals on Saturday, December 24 at 10 AM. After providing samples, airlines will choose at random and allow customers to leave. The unexpected rise of Covid-19 instances prompted this decision, which was taken in reaction to the situation in China, South Korea, Brazil, France, Japan, and the United States of America.

Dr. Ashish Bharti, the health officer for the Pune Municipal Corporation, said that preparations have been made at Naidu Hospital and two other facilities, with the potential to have three to four dedicated COVID-19 hospitals ready within a couple of days.
