Impeach Adhir: Congress deepening its grave

Congress top leadership, including Sonia and Rahul Gandhi, does not seem to be in control. An overwhelming number of their party members is in favour of the government’s decision on Kashmir. If Sonia and Rahul – whose stock in the party is going down after the rout in general election – do not distance themselves from Adhir Ranjan’s Chowdhury’s scurrilous statements, then it is to be taken as the official Congress line, as he is the party’s leader in Lok Sabha. If he does not stop, the government should take action, like impeachment, against him. There are rules under which membership of an MP talking nonsense can be cancelled. He has to either substantiate what he is saying or apologise.
