Netflix film White Tiger is special as it brings two powerhouses of talent, Rajkummar Rao and Priyanka Chopra on screen together. White Tiger based on Aravind Adiga's best-selling novel by the same name has movie buffs and fans excited. 

However, on Thursday, after the film's trailer was released what caught everyone's attention was neither Priyanka nor Rajkummar but a guy who stole the show within a short span of just two minutes, with his effortless acting. 

We’re talking about actor Adarsh Gourav, who is playing a central character in the film. Looking at the trailer, Adarsh Gourav maintains a tight grip on his character throughout and on numerous occasions also manages to outshine the two superstars he's sharing the screen space with.

Who is Adarsh Gourav?

Before trying his hand at acting, Adarsh was a musician and the lead vocalist of the rock band, Oak Island, which was also featured in MTV Indies-Never Hide Sounds. Adarsh who comes from Jamshedpur is also trained in classical Hindustani music for more than 9 years and has also worked with industry greats including Sukhwinder Singh, Illyaraja, and Subhash Ghai, according to IMDb.

For the uninformed, Adarsh Gourav made his big debut in Shah Rukh Khan’s movie My Name Is Khan, where he played the young Rizwan Khan. Since then the 26-year-old has already worked with prominent names like Manoj Bajpayee, Sridevi, Kumud Mishra, and more. 

Speaking about White Tiger, the story of the film follows Balram, a driver working for a rich couple (played by Priyanka Chopra Jonas and Rajkummar Rao), who's just returned from America. Since childhood, he’s been conditioned into believing that it’s his destiny to serve his masters. But, when circumstances make him realise the cruel circle he's trapped in, he decides to break free from the shackles.
