'Sausage Party' helmer to direct 'The Addams Family' animated movie

The Addams Family animated movie has found its director in Conrad Vernon who directed 2016's adult animation movie Sausage Party.
The imaginary ghoulish family has already had one go at the animation series and as a television series in the 1960s and two different feature films in early 1970's and then later in early 1990s starring Anjelica Huston, Raul Julia and Christina Ricci.
Pamela Pettler of Corpse Bride has written the screenplay for the new movie at MGM based on the single-panel gag illustrations by cartoonist Charles Addams, reports The Hollywood Reporter.
CG animation work is underway at Cinesite Studios in Vancouver and the movie.
