According to a report in The Wall Street Journal, Justice League was to be the linchpin of 2017 revenues for Warner Bros. But the success of Wonder Woman, followed by Stephen King's It has taken the pressure off the DC Extended Universe movie.

The movie is currently tracking to open in the range of $110-120 million at the US box office for it's November 17 release. It's still more than Wonder Woman's opening ($103 million) yet behind what Suicide Squad ($133 million) and Batman v Superman ($166 million) earned on their opening weekends.

Reshoots done by Whedon, digitally removing Henry Cavill's Mission Impossible moustache seem to have contributed to the ballooned budget.
