The last time the former couple graced red carpet together was for the premiere of Jolie's movie By the Sea. According to US Weekly, this is not the first time Brangelina, as the duo was fondly called, have met since announcing their split. "They’ve had other meetings in person; this is not the first. This is part of their ongoing process to work through things regarding the kids and the divorce."

In September 2016, Jolie filed for divorce from Pitt. Pitt was subsequently investigated for child abuse owing to his mid-air argument with their eldest son Maddox. The follow-up media reports shed light on the animosity between the couple that was together for 12 years. The Wanted actor accused her ex-husband of neglecting to provide child support. Pitt's representative promptly denied the allegation and a source told People magazine that the Allied star is hoping for joint custody. "All Brad wants is to be a present dad and co-parent with Angelina."

Jolie-Pitt are parents to Maddox, 17, Pax, 15, Zahara, 14, Shiloh, 12, and twins Knox and Vivienne, 10.

On the work front, Jolie is busy shooting for the sequel of Disney's Maleficent while Pitt is currently filming Quentin Tarantino's Once Upon a Time in Hollywood with Leonardo DiCaprio and Margot Robbie.
