"Get Out" star Lakeith Stanfield is in negotiations to star in the romantic comedy "Someone Great" from Netflix.
If finalised, the 26-year-old actor will join actor Gina Rodriguez in the film, which will be directed by Jennifer Kaytin Robinson, according to The Hollywood Reporter.
The film's script, which has also been penned by Robinson, follows a woman who, after a heart-wrenching breakup, decides to seek adventure in New York City with her two best friends before she moves across the country for her dream job. Brittany Snow and DeWanda Wise will also star in the film, playing Rodriguez two friends.
The project is being produced by Paul Feig and Jessie Henderson along with Anthony Bregman and Peter Cron. Rodriguez is also producing the film through her banner, I Can & I Will Productions.
