The midnight blue-coloured 2014 Centenary Edition Vanquish, having nameplate of 007, will be up for grabs during a sale that will take place on April 20 in 'The Exceptional Sale' in New York, British auction house Christie's announced.

Craig has portrayed the iconic character of MI6 agent James Bond in four films till now and is slated to return for a fifth and possibly his last. Aston Martin is synonymous with Bond, having appeared in a number of the movies since the 1960s.

The proceeds from the sale will go to The Opportunity Network, a non-profit organisation which aims to help young people into higher education and support their career development.

The premium car, which costs between $400,000-$600,000, was customised by Craig in partnership with Aston Martin's Chief Creative Officer Marek Reichman.

The car is left-hand drive and street-ready, and Aston Martin had produced just 100 examples of it to celebrate its 100th anniversary in 2014.

It features a lightweight bonded aluminium structure combined with a motorsport-inspired carbon-fibre exterior, while the handcrafted interior was made from fine luxury leathers, carbon fibre and aluminium.

The Centenary Edition Vanquish has a top speed of 183 mph.

"This Aston Martin Vanquish is a tour de force of automobile engineering and a distinct pleasure to drive. While I will miss it, I am keen to further the very important work of The Opportunity Network with its sale," Craig said.
