In another big revelation, James Cameron told everyone at the San Diego Comic Con 2019 that Edward Furlong, the young teen sensation from Terminator 2: Judgement Day (1991) will be back in his iconic role as John Connor.

Edward Furlong hit stardom with his role before spiralling like many other child stars. He had admitted to being an heroin and cocaine addict in the past. 

The Terminator series has many reboots, but this is a continuation of the first two films and is a direct sequel to James Cameron’s  movies. The new movie will be directed by Tim Miller who hit the big money with his directorial debut in 2016 – Deadpool.

James Cameron will be the producer and was instrumental in getting Linda Hamilton (Sarah Connor) back while picking Miller to take forward his story.
