Harry Styles roped in for Olivia Wilde's 'Don't Worry Darling' opposite Dakota Johnson, Florence Pugh

One Direction's darling Harry Styles has just bagged his second film! He is now part of Olivia Wilde directorial 'Don't Worry Darling', which features Florence Pugh in the lead role. Chris Pine, like Pugh, was also the first to be signed on the film. He would play the role of a leader of a mysterious worksite.

'Don't Worry Darling' also features Dakota Johnson, who plays Pugh's neighbour in the movie. Florence will be seen in the role of a housewife who loses her sanity after noticing strange occurences around her. Wilde herself has a role in the movie. Harry Styles came in as a replacement to Shia LaBeouf, who left the project out of scheduling conflict.

Deadline reported, "While Styles’ attachment to anything draws appeal to the project, insiders say Warner Bros execs have always been looking for that next thing after being blown away by his acting chops in Dunkirk. Sources add after impressing Wilde and Pugh during an initial meeting, the feeling was mutual to get Styles to sign on to the project."

Reportedly, Harry, repped by CAA and Full Stop Management, was previously offered the lead in Baz Luhrmann‘s Elvis Presley movie. The movie eventually went to Austin Butler, while Styles received yet another offer, this time from Disney. He was asked to play Prince Eric in 'The Little Mermaid', but he turned it down.

Meanwhile, Olivia Wilde will also direct an upcoming Marvel project (most likely Spiderwoman). She is also set to direct and executive produce the Searchlight feature 'Perfect'.
