Grammys 2020 commenced with Lizzo's performance dedicated to late basketball legend Kebo Bryant
Lizzo ruled over the Grammys. She commenced the ceremony with a performance solely dedicated to basketball legend Kebo Bryant who died in a helicopter crash on Sunday night. Alicia Keys also dedicated a monologue to Mami which is sure to give you goosebumps.
Alicia paid her tribute not only through monologue but also through verses of a song. "Here we are together, on music's biggest night to be celebrating with the artists that do it the best. But to be honest with you, we're all feeling crazy sadness right now because earlier today, Los Angeles, America and the whole wide world lost a hero. And we're literally standing here, heartbroken, in the house that Kobe Bryant built," she said, before mentioning that Kobe, his daughter Gianna and everybody who we lost in the crash are there in spirit. Alicia asked everybody to hold them inside of them before going on to sing what we all feel i.e. "It's so hard to say goodbye to what we had."
