Mark Salling, who shot to fame for playing Noah ‘Puck’ Puckerman on the show Glee has been found dead in an apparent suicide. He was 35 and was weeks away from being sentenced to prison for possession of child pornography.

His attorney told People: “I can confirm that Mark Salling passed away early this morning. Mark was a gentle and loving person, a person of great creativity, who was doing his best to atone for some serious mistakes and errors of judgment. He is survived by his mother and father, and his brother. The Salling family appreciates the support they have been receiving and asks for their privacy to be respected.”

The Glee star pleaded guilty to possession of child porn on October 2017, and was due to be sentenced in March and was expected serve between four to seven years.

Investigators had found more than 25000 images and 600 videos on computers and thumb drives that belong to Salling with content showing children as young as 3. He had registered as a sex offender and enter a treatment program. He was arrested in 2015 after a former girlfriend called police.

Born in Dallas, Texas, Salling played Noah ‘Puck’ Puckerman on Fox’s Glee from 2009 to 2015.
