Gal Gadot hails Shaheen Bagh's Bilkis Dadi as her 'Personal Wonder Woman'

Actor Gal Gadot, best known for her role in and as Wonder Woman, recently took to her verified Instagram handle to share a few photos of women who inspired her in 2020 -- her personal Wonder Women -- some who are closest to her family and friends, and a few other inspiring women whom she had met and others who she wishes to meet in future. 

When her fans in India looked through Gal's latest post, they were left pleasantly surprised on seeing the 'Justice League' star had shared a photo of Shaheen Bagh's Bilkis Dadi, hailing her as one of her 'personal wonder women'. 

For the unversed, Bilkis Dadi, 82, was at the forefront of the anti-CAA/NRC sit-in protest in Delhi which went on for over three months. Bilkis Dadi had featured on the TIME Magazine's 100 most influential people around the world list also.

Marking the end of the year with women who inspired her through 2020, Gal shared a few photos on her Instagram handle, one of them featuring Bilkis Dadi, and captioned them, "Saying farewell to 2020, with all my love to #MyPersonalWonderWomen
Some are those closest to me - my family, my friends - some are inspiring women I’ve loved discovering, and some are exceptional women I hope to meet in the future. Together, we can do wonders! Share your own wonder women with me."

Gal also shared the same photos on her Instagram stories with further explanation. 

"This has been a long year, ending with the #WW84 release... I decided to end it by being grateful for the wonder women in my life and the ones who inspire me the most," she said in her Instagram Story before sharing snapshots of the powerful women in her life.

Introducing Bilkis Dadi to her fans and explaining how she inspired her, Gal wrote, "This 82-year-old activist fighting for women's equality in India showed me it's never too late to fight for what you believe in."

Meanwhile, fans of the DC universe have a reason to rejoice as Diana Prince will be officially heading back to the big screens for the third instalment of 'Wonder Woman'.

According to Variety, Warner Bros. has fast-tracked the development on the third film with Gal Gadot returning as the title heroine and Patty Jenkins helming and writing the concluding entry in the trilogy.
