In an exclusive coverage by Entertainment Weekly, Marvel Studios revealed a massive treat for the fans by letting them inside this world set before Iron Man began this epic journey that led to Avengers: Infinity War.

In 10 brand new images, Marve Studios showed first looks of Brie Larson as Carol Danvers as US Air Force pilot, a civilian in the 90s era, an apprentice of Mar-Vell, and finally Captain Marvel we have been waiting to catch the first glimpse of all this time.

Apart from Larson, for the first time we can see Jude Law as one of the Marvel superheroes. This is also the first time you meet the elite military team Starforce on the Kree planet of Hala that includes Carol along with Djimon Hounsou's Korath -- returning from Guardians of the Galaxy -- and Minn-Erva played by Crazy Rich Asian's Gemma Chan.

Brace yourself to see Samuel L Jackson's young Nick Fury avatar. This has been achieved by the digital de-ageing tech and some prosthetics. Speaking of returning characters, Lee Pace's Ronan the Accuser will be back too as a powerful member of Kree high society.

The new pictures also introduce something known as the Skrulls. Supposedly they are one of the nastiest villainous species in the Marvel Cinematic Universe. Led by Ben Mendelsohn's character Talos, these bright-green creatures will be crucial to giving us the Captain Marvel version of Carol Danvers.

Directed by Anna Boden and Ryan Fleck Captain Marvel is set to release on March 8, 2019
