Marvel’s latest superhero movie 'Avengers: Endgame' which is set to be released across 2,500 screens (the highest ever for a Hollywood film in India) on April 26, has become the latest victim of notorious piracy site Tamilrockers. The much-awaited film got released in Germany, UAE, Singapore and other countries on April 24 and apparently that's how the pirates got access to the Marvel extravaganza. What's more, various Reddit threads that have also leaked the plot of the film online.
'Avengers: Endgame' is the most anticipated movie in the world right now and the film getting leaked has definitely increased chances of spoilers finding their way to the audience. However, experts believe that it's highly unlikely that the film will face any disadvantages on the box office front because of the leak considering the humungous amount of tickets that have already been sold. Online ticket booking website BookMyShow sold a record one million tickets within a day of advance booking that started Saturday.
“I don’t recall any other film, including in Hindi, witnessing such anticipation," said Atul Mohan, editor of trade magazine Complete Cinema. He predicted a Rs 40 crore opening day and Rs 120-125 crore opening weekend for the film. 'Avengers: Infinity War' currently holds the record for the highest opening day ( Rs 31.30 crore) and opening weekend ( Rs 94.30 crore) for a Hollywood film in India.
