On October 7, 2020, director of Jurassic World: Dominion, Colin Trevorrow announced the release date of the film. He revealed that Chris Pratt and Bryce Dallas Howard starrer will now release in 2022. The tweet read as "For the past three months, I’ve worked with an extraordinary cast and crew on a film we can’t wait to share with the world. Even though we'll have to wait a bit longer, it will all be worth it. Let’s stay healthy and take care of each other until then."

A few hours back, Colin took to his Twitter page and announced that the production has been suspended for two weeks after a few COVID-19 positive cases found on the sets of Jurassic World: Dominion. He tweeted, "Woke up to the news we had a few positive Coronavirus tests on Jurassic World: Dominion. All tested negative shortly after, but due to our safety protocols, we’re going to pause for two weeks. Back soon."

Production of Jurassic World: Dominion from Universal Pictures has been suspended for two weeks after a few people on the set tested positive for COVID-19, director Colin Trevorrow said on Wednesday.
