Asthma hampers dating, sexual pleasure and careers of people afflicted with the disease, a new study has claimed.

According to Asthma Australia report on the study, about 33% of dads suffering from uncontrolled asthma avoid running around with their kids.

More than 1000 people with poor asthma control took part in the study.

More than 10% mothers said that they avoided playtime with their kids and 16% of parents said that they found it difficult to carry their kid, News.com.au reported.

Dating and socialising were a major problem among those afflicted with the disease, with a large proportion of people saying that they could not keep up with pals during a night out, many went home early.

33% of men and about 20% of women said that their asthma interfered with their sex life leading to embarrassing situations.
