Burger King has claimed that they have come up with a much healthier version of french fries that have less fat and reduced calories.

According to Discovery News, the crinkle-cut fries, called Satisfries, have 30 percent less fat and 20 percent fewer calories than the fast-food chain’s current fries.

Also, the new item has 40 percent less fat and 30 percent fewer calories than the McDonald’s version.

The fries are made using a special recipe that doesn’t absorb as much fat during the frying process.

Keri Gans, a registered dietitian hired by the fast food chain, said that it’s not realistic to ask people to replace french fries with carrots or celery sticks, so the new version of the classic snack is like meeting people halfway.
