According to The Hollywood Reporter, the film is looking at earning a whopping USD 65 million in its domestic debut and surpass "Mary Poppins Returns" and Transformers spin-off "Bumblebee" collections.

The impressive numbers gave Warner Bros. Pictures Group chairman Toby Emmerich enough confidence to begin talks on a sequel.

As per the publication, no writer has been commissioned for the follow-up yet.

Directed by James Wan, the movie release in India precedes by a week as it hist US theatres on December 21.

"Aquaman" also stars Amber Heard, Willem Dafoe, Patrick Wilson, Dolph Lundgren, Yahya Abdul-Mateen II, and Nicole Kidman.

Earlier, "Aquaman" star Jason Momoa has claimed he has not been working out since past one year. During an interview with Entertainment Weekly, the actor's co-star from the DC movie, Amber Heard, said that he "loves working out".

Momoa replied saying, "absolutely f*****g not I love rock climbing, but I do not love working out. I haven't worked out in at least a year and it's been awesome." The 39-year-old actor said he worked out during the filming of "Aquaman", going to gym sessions with his co-star Yahya Abdul-Mateen II (who plays Black Manta), so that he does not get injured during the filming of intense fights and other action scenes.

However, it’s not like Momoa doesn’t workout and he has one of the meanest regimes we’ve seen.

He told Men’s Health: “I get up at 5am and I train hard. I’ve got two young children, so I have to get up early. But I like it. Morning is when I do all my best work. Whenever I wake up, I’m up, I don’t lie there like an idiot. I get up, run up a hill, get some exercise and have some time with my thoughts.”

What’s fascinating is Momoa is very vocal about his love for the Irish stout Guinness even falling in love with his wife Lisa Monet after she ordered a Guinness.
