PUBG Mobile India may be banned in the country but some gamers will now have an event to focus on which will take their mind off their troubles. On Thursday, the PUBG Mobile Global Championship was launched at the Coca Cola Arena in Dubai. The format will see the top 16 teams from all over the world playing 24 matches in four days to decide who is the ultimate PUBG Global champion. PUBG Mobile Global Championship has reached the business end of the tournament after the league stages concluded on November 24, 2020. In the past, these kinds of tournaments would have huge fan attendances but due to the coronavirus pandemic, there will be no fans in attendance at the venues. However, the tournament got off to a rough start as three players tested positive for the coronavirus.

Thus, instead of a proper sports arena, the teams will play in isolation on a set network as announced by PUBG Mobile Director of Global Esports James Yang. There are no teams from India participating in the PUBG Mobile Global Championships with the majority of the 16 teams coming from Malaysia, Thailand, Turkey, Brazil, China, Ukraine, Mongolia, Bangladesh and Indonesia. With PUBG Mobile Global Championships having started off on a bad note, here are some of the details of the event that will conclude on January 24.
