PUBG Mobile India gamers are frustrated that the game has been banned by the Government of India ever since September 2020. The frustration has now apparently boiled over on their rival FAU-G (Fearless and United Guards). Ever since the game was released on January 26, PUBG Mobile India gamers have taken to Google Play Store to relentlessly thrash the game and give many one-star ratings. Initially, notable media outlets also reviewed FAU-G and gave very average ratings to the game. The dull interface and the lack of variety in action are the two major factors that seem to be going against FAU-G.

Initially, when the game was launched, there were close to three lakh downloads on Google Play Store. With the number now reaching six lakh, FAU-G is still the top free game on Google Play Store. However, the ratings are a big concern. When it was launched, the rating of FAU-G was 4.5. Now, with many gamers who are big PUBG Mobile India fans blasting the game and giving it a one-star rating, FAU-G’s rating on the Google Play Store has dipped to three out of five. There are other reasons as well as to why FAU-G’s flaws are been highlighted even more now.

FAU-G currently has only one mode and there are no further updates. The lack of various weapons and relying on hand-to-hand combat is something that is making the FAU-G gaming experience boring and monotonous. The lack of multiple action modes, just like the battle royale nature of PUBG Mobile, makes the episodic process of FAU-G a disadvantage.

PUBG’s global updates

On the other hand, the global updates of PUBG Mobile are making gamers in India incredibly upset. However, they can still bypass the ban by downloading a secure VPN network and clicking on this link (https://web.gpubgm.com/m/Website/xiaobao/PUBGMOBILE_Global_1.2.0_uawebsite.apk) in order to download the 624 MB APK file. They may face issues like the ‘Restricted Area’ pop-up but that can be overcome.

However, it is illegal to play the game and there might be some penalty imposed if the authorities catch gamers playing this version on their phones in India.
