The hopes of the gamers when PUBG executives announced in 2019 that the game would be launched in India soon but the company is yet to make any concrete announcement regarding the rest of the process and PUBG Mobile India is still far from release in India.

For its part, PUBG Corp. tried its best to relaunch the game and they took several measures in this direction, including snapping ties with Tencent for India. PUBG Copr also promised to launch their own version of the game but the company is yet to provide a clear path for a comeback.
In 2019, Krafton officially announced that PUBG Mobile will be released in India round the time of Diwali but the company failed to live up to the promise and PUBG Mobile India, the altered version of PUBG Mobile, was nowhere to be seen.
It is to be noted that PUBG Corporation has repeatedly asserted that it was committed to keep the data secure of all Indian players. Reports claim that PUBG Mobile India will come loaded with some major changes to the UI. The matches will take place in a virtual simulation training ground setting. The characters in PUBG Mobile India will be clothed from the beginning. Some reports claim that PUBG Mobile India will have green hit effects instead of red.
Recently, PUBG Mobile Director James Yang had released a video message in which he provided a detailed roadmap about PUBG Mobile Esports plans for this year.
