When PUBG was banned by the Central Government following the tensions between Indian and Chinese soldiers in Galwan, the major reason cited was the stealing and transmitting users' data in an unauthorized manner to servers which have locations outside India. Now, with PUBG Mobile all set to comeback to India with a bang, one major factor will ensure that the launch of PUBG Mobile is a major success. According to reports, KRAFTON, which is a collective of independent game development teams responsible for various entertainment properties like PUBG and TERA have tied up with Microsoft Azure.

How does this development impact PUBG Mobile India? It is a massive development on the security front. Microsoft Azure is a cloud computing service created by Microsoft for building, testing, deploying, and managing applications and services through Microsoft-managed data centers. Microsoft Azure manages the computing and storage of resources on Microsoft’s data centers and this is what primarily keeps the data, such as servers and user information, secure.

The secure and safe storage of user information is what will ensure PUBG Mobile India makes a grand comeback. Security breach of user data was cited as the major reason behind the PUBG Mobile ban. With Tencent, the Chinese entity also being cut off from the Indian market and KRAFTON tying up with Microsoft Azure, PUBG Mobile’s passage to India is now virtually assured.

PUBG Mobile’s grand return

After releasing multiple teasers, it is now certain that PUBG Mobile will hit the Indian market soon as pre-registration has already begun, although there are questions over the authenticity of the pre-registration page. The authenticity of the pre-registration has already hit FAU-G, with over 60,000 registrations being shown but there are questions over the authenticity from several Twitter users.

Now, according to a report by Inside Sport, India pre-registrations for Android and iOS have now opened for select users who are a part of Tap Tap game sharing community. The app has already been registered by over 300,000 users and is currently rated 9.8/10. But, just like FAU-G, there is no official announcement from PUBG corporation and that has thrown more confusion amongst gamers.

The Facebook and Instagram pages of PUBG Mobile India have posted teasers of the game, saying it is “coming soon.” The Tap Tap listing also mentions the game will be available in both English and Hindi language. However, the main reason why PUBG has not yet made an official announcement is because the Indian Government is yet to come out with their official stance on the Relaunch of the PUBG Mobile after the 'unban' decision.
