Recently, Xiaomi India's Managing Director Manu Kumar Jain said that Xiaomi would launch its first dual-camera phone in India in September.
There are strong rumours that eyeing the budget segment in the country, he might be talking about the Mi 5X India's launch.
Xiaomi Mi 5X was recently launched in China. The model has the same 12MP dual camera setup at the back as the Mi 6, which is, at present, priced at approx. Rs 25,548.
The optics of the dual camera smartphone include a 12-megapixel wide-angle lens with f/2.2 aperture and a 12-megapixel telephoto lens with f/2.6 aperture. The camera setup offers features like 2x optical zoom and phase-detection Auto Focus. The selfie shooter on the smartphone carries a 5-megapixel sensor.
The Mi 5X boasts of a 5.5-inch Full HD display, Snapdragon 625, 4GB of RAM, 64GB storage, 5MP front camera, and a 3080mAh battery.
About pricing, some media reports suggest that Xiaomi Mi 5X would debut at the Rs 15,000 mark.
Mi 5X was introduced in Black, Gold and Pink colour options at a launch event in China.
