Watch Tanya Wells, a musician from London sing Faiz Ahmad Faiz's poem with immaculate accent.
Saying Faiz Ahmad Faiz would have been moved to hear his melody sung by the London-based singer-songwriter Tanya Wells, would in no way be overselling it.
For a British woman to sing the song so flawlessly and that too with proper diction is almost unreal. However, not so.
She even explained that since "spring is around the corner in England", she picked this particular song for her audience.
This would not be the first song in Hindi that she had covered. Some of the other feathers in her hat are - Hairaton Ke Silsile, Dama Dam Mast Kalandar, Duniya Kisi Ke Pyar Mein amongst many others.
If you are thinking that this is impossible, do lend this song your ears.
