What's it about Set in 1983 in Anchorage, the film is based on a gruesome true story of officer Jack (Cage) who is on the look out for serial killer Robert (Cusack) who takes pleasure in murdering and cutting open young girl until one of his victims Cindy  (Vanessa Hudgens) escapes his clutches and the investigation begins. What's hot The fact that it is based on a true story makes the film more appealing. Camera work is stunning and visually it gives you lot of diversity. Technically the film wins on every point. Be it dialogues, crisp screen play or the perfect casting. The pace is uneven, starts off slow, but soon the series of events give it a dynamic flow.

Despite the fact that you know the end, the beauty lies in the way Walker opens up the cards at the right time. John Cusack plays the part perfectly, and Nicolas Cage impresses in his role as the investigating officer.  The film stays true to its genre and delivers on every front. What's not Its very gruesome and horrific especially when you get to see close ups of the dead bodies. If you can't stomach stark gore and blood then you might be able to sit through certain sequences. The back ground score at times distracts you from what's happening on screen. What to do A must see for some brilliant performances and a hard hitting thriller that stays true to its genre.
