Zomato names its 12 'primetime yummies' on American television shows

Zomato does it again! The online restaurant guide has been endearing its audiences with quirky posts on the social networking site, Facebook. Using the names of the popular American television shows, Zomato has added 'food factor' to the titles — making them interesting and catchy at the same time. 

Zomato has won worldwide recognition by collating all the information about home delivery, dining out, cafes and night clubs in a single user-friendly website portal, which was started in 2009 in New Delhi. It gradually branched out to several other cities like Brazil, Turkey, Indonesia, New Zealand, Philippines, South Africa, Sri Lanka, Qatar, Chile, Portugal, the United Emirates and the united Kingdom.

And, that's the prime reason, they try to be engagement friendly and create posts that have a wider appeal across the globe. 

This time around, they first came up with six 'primetime yummies' and further added six more after a few days. Going by the engagement ratio, (likes, shares, comments) these posts have gladdened social media users because of their relevance to popular sitcoms.

'Breaking Bad' AKA 'Baking Bread'

Zomato has used the famous crime drama television series 'Breaking Bad' to veer the attention of its audience toward 'Baking Bread'. Ofcourse, 'Bread' fits better in Zomato's offering than 'Breaking Bad'.

'The Big Bang Theory' AKA 'The Lip Smack Theory'

The tweaked title of the American sitcom 'The Big Bang Theory' has become 'The Lip Smack Theory', perfectly describing the savoury food items suggested in the guide.

'Desperate Housewives' AKA 'Desperate Houseknives'

Named after American comedy drama 'Desperate Housewives', Zomato illustrates the poster stating 'Desperate Houseknives'. 

'Family Guy' AKA 'Family Chai'

'Family guy', the show about an American family called 'Griffins' — is converted into 'Family Chai', which plays an indispensable role in our Indian society. A lot can happen over a cup of tea, you would agree!

'Game of Thrones' AKA 'Game of Cones'

Their business deals with 'cones', and not 'thrones'. It's time for you to go and grab your own. Check out the mouth-watering ice-cream offers on the website.

'House of Cards' AKA 'House of Tarts'

Adaption of American political series 'House of Cards', Zomato offers 'House of Tarts'. We can't agree more that the website has all the delicacy destinations to satiate your cravings. 

'House' AKA 'Mousse' 

 'Mousse' is taken from the name of much-appreciated American medical drama 'House'.

'How I Met Your Mother' AKA 'How I Ate Your Butter'

Though the hugely popular television series broke expectations with its relatively bland ending, Zomato's poster won't let you down. The poster reads, 'How I ate your butter' rather cheesily. Time for Amul, anyone?

'Pretty Little Liars' AKA 'Pretty Little Layers'

Zomato has rechristened the name of teen drama television series 'Pretty Little Liars' as 'Pretty Little Layers'.

'The Simpsons' AKA 'The Dimsums'

In Zomato's food dictionary, the American animated sitcom 'The Simpsons' is translated as 'The Dimsums'. looking akin to the yellow characters from the series, the poster talks Zomato's business again.

'South Park' AKA 'South Pork'

'Park is not what they deal with' — Zomato guides you where to get the best pork from. Named after American sitcom 'South Park', you will find it as 'South Pork' in Zomato's illustration.

'Scrubs' AKA 'Subs'

Zomato's interest definitely lies in Subs rather than 'Scrubs' — the American medical comedy drama television series. Find 'Subs' sans drama from Zomato.
