The 66-year-old legendary musician wrote a heart-warming message remembering his guru on Twitter.

"Sashtang salaam to my guru and my Abbaji Ustad Alla Rakha on his 98th birthday today, every time I touch my tabla - he is there," wrote Zakir.

The Grammy-winning veteran also shared a picture in which he and his father can be seen practising.

Alla Rakha, who was a Hindustani Classical tabla player, passed away on February 3, 2000 due to a heart attack.
