Shama, who is remembered for her role as Pooja in 2003 TV show Yeh Meri Life Hai, reportedly got engaged in Dubai on New Year eve. Reports suggest that the proposal came as a surprise to her since James and Shama have only been dating for a few months now. 

The couple reportedly got engaged outside a hotel in Burj Al Arab on New Year's eve. 

Earlier, Shama was in a relationship with TV actor Alexx O'Nell. The couple broke up last year after dating for over four years.
