Women can do everything that men can: Gautam Gulati
Gautam Gulati encourages women to pariticpate in the marathon, which will help them to remain fit and healthy
Today women are powerful. They can do everything that men can and somethings that even men can't! They work really hard. The dna ICan is a great initiative as it encourages and inspires women to take care of their health and fitness. For women who will be running the marathon, I would say it's the best way to get into fitness. Women usually want to look good and this is a nice way to start.
However, I would say before the D-Day, women should practise running. In fact, it is a part of my daily exercise. For people who don't run I would advise they do so for at least 20 minutes everyday to burn calories. That is if you eat a normal diet. Early morning is the best time to jog as you feel good and fresh. That's what I do as soon as I wake up in the morning. I put on my headphones and listening to some peppy music jog for an hour.
I also do cycling, swimming and light functional work out. I firmly believe along with work out you need to maintain a healthy diet. You are what you eat. I don't follow any special diet, I just eat homemade food, which is less oily and completely avoid eating out. I make sure to have a lot of proteins like eggs, chicken and corns.
One person who is fit to run a marathon is Puneet Issar. He is an iron man, nobody can stop him. I have seen him working out on an empty stomach for two days! He is my inspiration.
