Bollywood actress Sonam Kapoor has revealed that shooting for the hijack sequence in her upcoming flick Neerja was physically, emotionally and mentally taxing.

While promoting her upcoming biopic at IIT Mumbai, when the 30-year-old actress was asked how difficult it was for her to shoot the hijack sequence, she said, "It was very physically taxing. The hijack took place over 16 hours and Ram Madhvani decided to shoot it as it is."

"We were on the plane for 16 hours doing what exactly everybody else in 1986 did. It was a fully functioning plane except it didn't have the engine to fly." She added. 

The Prem Ratan Dhan Payo star further said it was very extreme and it was mentally, physically, emotionally extremely taxing, but when they saw the result, it was all worth it.

The flick that also stars Shabana Azmi in a lead role will hit theatres on February 19.
