Why did Asin return her New Year gift?

This festive season, Asin was gifted an exclusive limited edition crocodile skin handbag from the most popular Parisian brand. The exotic skin bag that cost a whopping amount is amongst the most coveted bags this season,however, Asin who has a large collection of luxury bags returned the bag with a note that stated that she doesn’t endorse or support the use of exotic animal skins be it snake skins, alligator skins, fur, and the likes. 

Reveals a close friend of the actress, “Asin was gifted a limited edition alligator skin bag but she returned it as it’s something she has never supported right from the start. She has strongly spoken against the global leather slaughter industry and animal torture and will never buy or accept products that cause any discomfort to animals.”
