When Sonakshi Sinha met Sarah Palin

Actress Sonakshi Sinha may have recieved a lot of praise for her performance in Dabangg,  but it was when one special lady complimented her that she was completely taken aback. A source says that during a recent trip to Delhi, Sinha was appreciated by none other than former governor of Alaska, Sarah Palin.

The young actress was surprised to learn that Palin became her admirer after hearing her speak on stage. At a gala dinner in the capital, Sinha seated with her parents Shatrughan and Punam Sinha when she met Palin. A source present adds, “Sarah seemed impressed by Sonakshi. Both ladies chatted about women empowerment and how it can change the world. Palin was also speaking on how it was high time that women should take the forefront in terms of making fundamental changes in the system, be it the political or in any other field.”

The source furthers, “Though Sarah admitted that she hadn’t watched her film, she was reportedly taken by surprise at the actress' popularity. Sonakshi too added that she wants to do her bit in creating awareness amongst the masses, especially with regards to education and women’s health-related issues.”

The source adds that Palin, on hearing this apparently asked Sinha to use her position as an actor to highlight the issues as and when she can. She also added that she was amazed at how a young girl, who is a star, feels so much for the upliftment of women.

It looks like daddy’s girl is all set to make him proud, not just in the acting department, but by also stressing on socially relevant
issues.
