'Westworld' star Thandie Newton in talks to join young Han Solo film
Thandie Newton becomes third British actress to join the cast.
Actress Thandie Newton is in negotiations to star in the Han Solo Star Wars spin-off movie.
Alden Ehrenreich is starring in the movie, which began shooting last week, with Phil Lord and Chris Miller directing, according to The Hollywood Reporter.
The movie also stars Donald Glover, Emilia Clarke, and Woody Harrelson.
Details of Newton's character were being kept locked tight.
But going from her recent portrayal of a street smart brothel owner android in HBO series Westworld, one can speculate that Newton may play another firebrand character maybe giving a tough time to young Han Solo.
Newton is not the only TV star in talks for a role in the spin-off movie, Phoebe Waller-Bridge of Fleabag is also in negotiations to play a motion capture character.
