Frightened by the devastation caused in Nepal due to a powerful earthquake, megastar Amitabh Bachchan says one must give his/her 100 per cent to the relief work for the victims.

Measuring 7.9 on the Richter scale, the earthquake that occurred on Saturday, flattened houses and buildings in Nepal, killing over 4,350 people so far. The earthquake with epicentre at Lamjung, around 80 kms northwest of Kathmandu, had its impact in several cities in Bihar, West Bengal and Uttar Pradesh as tremors were felt across vast stretches of east and northeast India.

"Soon when all is rested and settled, we must do whatever we can in helping our brothers and sisters who have suffered !! Time passes but thoughts and prayers remain with those that suffer from the EarthQuake in Nepal and other parts of India .. Prayers," Bachchan, 72, tweeted. 

"The devastating visuals that one sees is so frightening... nature's fury is unmatched, but so is human effort and prayer!!" he wrote.
