An American entrepreneur, and inventor who has revolutionised the world of technology with his inventions and brainwork, Steve Jobs succumbed to pancreatic cancer back in 2011. Four years later, Danny Boyle has taken up the responsibility to bring the life of Steve Jobs alive on screen.

A biographical drama, Steve Jobs- the film will trace the life of the noted American entrepreneur who was the co-founder of Apple Inc. According to Universal's press release, the film is "set backstage at three iconic product launches and ending in 1998 with the unveiling of the iMac, the film takes us behind the scenes of the digital revolution to paint an intimate portrait of the brilliant man at its epicentre."

Starring Michael Fassbender as Steve Jobs, the film also has Kate Winslet essaying the role of Joanna Hoffman, Seth Rogen as Steve Woznaik, Jeff Daniels as John Sculley and others. The team unveiled the first teaser trailer of the film on Monday and is due for a release on October 9 this year.
