The Jimmy Kimmel Live show had the honour of debuting the first official trailer of Marvel’s Spider-Man: Homecoming.

The movie centres on a young Peter Parker who begins to navigate his newfound identity as the web-slinging superhero.

In the two-minute, 16-second trailer, packed with action Spider-Man played by Tom Holland tries to convince Tony Stark played by Robert Downey Jr that he's ready to take his place on the Avengers, while getting done with high school.

Holland had shared a sneak peak clip on his Instagram account to his many fans.

The movie is directed by Jon Watts from a script provided by John Francis Daley and Jonathan M Goldstein.

Spider-Man: Homecoming will hit theatres on July 7, 2017.
