American rapper Lil Uzi Vert recently revealed that his USD 24 million (Rs 175 crore) diamond that was implanted on his forehead was ripped out by fans when he dove into a crowd at Rolling Loud in July this year.
While speaking to TMZ last month at the 18th anniversary of Jay-Z’s 40/40 club, he said, “I had a show at Rolling Loud and I jumped into the crowd and they kind of ripped it out.” He added, “I’m feeling good, I still have the diamond so I feel good.”
Fans, however, have been speculating that Lil Uzi got the pricey gem removed as he was spotted without it at that time. The rapper, whose real name is Symere Bysil Woods, had first started talking about his diamond on his social media in January. Lil Uzi shared that he had saved up money for years so that he could buy the jewellery piece from his favourite designer, Elliot Eliantte.
“I’ve been paying for a natural pink diamond from Elliot for years now. This one stone cost so much I’ve been paying for it since 2017. That was the first time I saw a real natural pink diamond. A lot of M’s in my face,” he wrote in the tweet.
Uzi has earlier shared photos of his bleeding forehead but soon deleted them. The pictures were later shared by his fan pages. Have a look:

As per a Page Six report, a fan once asked Lil Uzi about his most valued material possession. He responded and said, “This diamond.” He added, “10 almost 11 carats.” The ‘Way the Life Goes’ goes singer also shared that the pink diamond is insured.
The rapper has not got the pink diamond implanted on his forehead again after the incident and now sports a piercing instead. When a fan suggested the rapper place the gem on a ring, he had reportedly joked and said, “If I lose the ring yeah U will make fun of me more than putting it in my forehead haha jokes on you."
