The 'Tik Tok' hitmaker has collaborated with Zedd to re-release a version of his song, 'True Colors' - her first new track in over three years, reported Female First.

Taking to Twitter, she wrote, "#truecolors spoke to me so deeply I had to spread the beautiful message of personal empowerment... this is more than a song. it's a declaration of my truth #truecolors (sic)"

The 29-year-old singer is currently locked in a legal battle with her record label as she fights to be released from her contract over allegations she was sexually assaulted by Dr. Luke.

An appeal, which she launched against a court decision that she must remain in her contract with the record company, was declined earlier this month.
