There are no star wars on television, says Amitabh Bachchan

Amitabh Bachchan doesn’t think that it’s a clash of the titans on television. On the contrary, he says that it is a good thing that so many Bollywood stars will be visible on at the same time on prime time television.

When asked about the clash of his show with Salman Khan,   who’s also be seen hosting a reality show on prime-time television like him, Bachchan reacts, “Yes, not only Salman, there’s Akshay, there’s Priyanka… all of them are hosting shows now. It’s a wrong way of looking at things if you say that it is a clash of sorts. It is actually a good thing that all of us will be seen on the television at the same time. And all are doing a great job.”

Bachchan says that  TRP ratings are not his prime concern. “The channels will get their TRP. I am only concerned about doing my job well, and working hard on it. I rehearse a lot on the way I say things. I’m also working on bringing variations as a host on it,” he adds.

Big B admits that he still gets butterflies in his stomachwhen his Kaun Bangea Crorepati  is aired on the television. “I go and hide in some corner of my home,” he jests adding, “It’s my family, who find me out, and update about the first reactions of the show. Right now, they are very happy the way my fans have received the show.”

Bachchan admits that he’s carrying a huge workload on his shoulders. “I am seventy (he’s actually 68), and I work a lot. But really, I can’t sit at home. I need to be working all the time.

Sometimes I push myself too hard, but when my fans cheer me and call out my name and I get up to face them or the camera, I don’t know from where I get this flush of energy from. It doesn’t matter if I am working hard, the matter of the fact is I am working religiously. There’s no better high in life than that one,” he ends.
