Tiger Shroff insists that the buzz about his Befikra video replicating Aditya Chopra’s Befikre, doesn’t ring true at all
It cannot be a coincidence that so many aspects of Tiger Shroff’s music video Befikra with his girlfriend Disha Patani seem to indicate to viewers of what lies in store in Aditya Chopra’s forthcoming feature Befikre.
Besides the obvious similarity, title-wise, both the love sagas are set in the most romantic city in the world: Paris. Both feature the lead pair as strangers in Paris who meet and fall in love. What follows are hugs, cuddles and smooches.
Like Aditya Chopra’s forthcoming Ranveer-Vani Kapoor Parisian rom-com, the Tiger-Disha video is about romancing the Parisian landscape. However, Tiger feels the similarities between Bekifre and Befikra are skin-deep.
Protests Tiger, “There are no similarities between the two as far as I can see Befikre is a posh feature film with a huge star Ranveer Singh. We’ve only done a music video with two newcomers. Really, there can be no comparison.” Then Tiger adds with pride. “The dancing is unique to our video, isn’t? We shot the entire video in a two-day long hectic schedule. We worked like crazy.”
As for the smooches, are they so authentic because Tiger and Disha are a real-life couple? Tiger laughs off the suggestion. “Not at all. The director wanted it (the multiple liplocks) and we were fine with them as there is a comfort level that we share. I am in love with my work. In fact, both Disha and I are passionate about our work. We just wanted to give the video our best shot. That’s all.” So all similarities with Adi’s next film are just coincidences then?
