'Tamannaah has done a fabulous job in Devi 2': Director Vijay

After the super-hit success of the first part of Devi, director Vijay is gearing up for the release of Devi 2, a proper sequel to the 2016 horror-comedy which was released in Tamil, Telugu, and Hindi. The makers are currently planning to release the film worldwide on April 12. 

Director Vijay, in an official statement, says, "There is always a saying that right thing at the right time and right place. I am happy that it is happening now with Devi 2. Summers are always a season that is meant for family audiences, where they come to theatres and enjoy the entertainers. Precisely, Devi 2 is a film that is made with such a complete motive of catering the taste of family audiences. There are lots of funs, emotions, love, music and entertainment."

He further added: "I'm thankful to Prabhu Dheva sir for giving me an opportunity to work with him again. His energy is irresistible, and I am sure he is sure to enchant us all as in first part. Tamannaah has done a fabulous job in this film. She was so conscious about the way the audience loved her performance in the first part, and she wanted to give the best show than the first one. Everyone in the team has given the best contribution and support that made Devi 2 wrap up on time. I am sure this will be a treat to Universal audiences for the summer season.” 

Bankrolled by Dr. Ishari K Ganesh of Vels Film International and Trident Arts R. Ravindran, the film also has Nandita Swetha in a pivotal role. Sam CS is composing music for this film, which has cinematography handled by Ayananka Bose.
