The 39-year-old director said he is gearing up to give the world something "super cool," reported ET online.

"I kind of don't want to give too much away but know this: The spirit that I'm going for is like a classic sort of swashbuckling action adventure, sort of high seas adventure story. It's ultimately a quest story in the spirit of Raiders of the Lost Ark meets Romancing the Stone," Wan said.

While Aquaman is scheduled to come out in July 2018, Jason Momoa, who stars as the eponymous Atlantean, will appear alongside Ben Affleck's Batman, Henry Cavill's Superman, Gal Gadot's Wonder Woman, Ezra Miller's The Flash and Ray Fisher's Cyborg in the upcoming Justice League movie.
