Swachh Bharat: Kamal Haasan fans launch clean up drive
Last year on his birthday, Kamal Haasan took to cleaning garbage at the Madambakkam Lake outside Chennai
Tamil actor Kamal Haasan had leant his support to PM Modi’s Swachh Bharat mission and now his fans are taking it on.
The Tiruchi District Kamal Haasan Narpani Iyakkam joined hands with the Tiruchirapalli City Corporation and launched a clean-up drive in the city. They spent a few hours cleaning up streets and collecting garbage. The corporation provided them with material and machines for their drive.
Kamlal Haasan was nominated by Prime Minister Modi for the Clean India campaign. Last year on his birthday, Kamal Haasan took to cleaning garbage at the Madambakkam Lake outside Chennai. More than four tonnes of garbage was collected that day. The actor has set himself a target of cleaning up 20 lakes in Tamil Nadu.
